What you're probably wondering.

Do I need any insurance experience to start? +
No experience required. The Fresh Start path is built specifically for people who have never sold insurance before. You need to be coachable, willing to follow a process, and comfortable talking to people. The licensing knowledge and sales skills are things you'll build in the first four weeks. What you can't be taught is work ethic — that has to come from you.
What does this actually cost me upfront? +
Here's why the upfront pays off: one Medicare policy pays you $347–$694, and your leads cost $5–$10 each (the industry pays ~$70–$80) — so the math works fast once you're selling. The upfront itself: plan for about $900–$1,300 in your first month — a pre-licensing course (~$230), your state exam ($100–$200), the state license ($50–$250), fingerprint/background ($30–$70), AHIP certification ($175), E&O insurance ($300–$400/year), and basic tech tools. We tell you this upfront because you deserve to know exactly what you're getting into.
Are the leads actually any good? +
Fair question — it's the first thing experienced agents ask. Our leads run $5–$10 each (the industry typically pays $70–$80), they're pre-qualified, and you're not fighting ten other agents for the same name. Cheap, real leads are a big reason the economics actually work here. You can also work referrals and your own network.
Do I have to cold call? +
No — and we mean it. You're not dialing strangers off a list. You work warm, pre-qualified leads, referrals, and your own network. If a past sales job burned you out on cold calling, this isn't that.
How long until I make money? +
Most agents close their first case when their licensing, AHIP, and contracting are all clean and they're putting hours in. The discounted 7-day pay flows from week one of contracting; full carrier street rate pays on the carrier's standard timeline. How fast that all happens depends on you.*
Is this W2 or 1099? +
1099 independent contractor. You own your business, your contact database, and your book of business. You're not an employee — no salary or benefits through us. The upside: complete schedule flexibility, no income ceiling, and real equity in a client base you own and keep.
Is this an MLM or network marketing thing? +
No. Not even close. Launchpad works with licensed insurance carriers — Humana, Aetna, UHC, and others. You sell real Medicare plans to real people. Carriers pay you directly. There's no recruiting requirement, no downline, no upline, no "team building" as a revenue model. This is a 1099 sales career with real support infrastructure behind it.
